Federated spam threat intelligence for the EP Suite. Every install that catches a bot reports the IP, every install benefits from every other install's catches. Free for all EP Email users.
The EP Blocklist is a shared threat-intelligence database powering EP Email's spam protection. Each EP Email install runs local heuristics — honeypot, time trap, URL count, keyword filter, gibberish-name detection — and reports caught bot IPs to this central server. Every other install pulls from it.
Each IP carries a severity score from 1 to 5 based on how many distinct sites have independently flagged it and how often. Default block threshold is severity 2: requires at least 3 distinct sources or 10 reports before it counts as confirmed. Single bad-actor sites cannot poison the well.
Source identity is SHA-256 hashed with random per-client salt before storage. The database never holds plain site identifiers, so a leak doesn't reveal which site reported what. Submission content never reaches this server — only IPs and the reason code.
